Ds4 Diesel Tank lock Ring

Hi i'm new to the forum thanks for adding me and hello everyone hope your all keeping safe.
Right i've got a problem hope someone can help a very frustrated fella out.
I only recently bought the DS4 just before we went into lockdown when i first had it it said on the dash i had 180 miles before empty, i eaa just about to go somewhere and it cut out on the drive warning lights came on the dash. Cut a long story short after changing the diesel filter i had run out of diesel when i next drove it to a garage i fill it up an 60 litres went into tank, at 180 miles again it ran out but i had a gallon in the boot should it happen.
So I have a problem with the fuel sender, i removed the locking ring but it got damsged on removal and removed the fuel float/ sender to find it had broken into two halves looks like it had the diesel siphoned out of it previously before i bought it and ramming the pipe into the tank had caused this to happen.
So i purchased a secondhand fuel sender and a genuine citroen lock ring with a part number on the packet 153150 and a part number on the locking ring 96 859 603 80. The problem i have now is that the new lock ring which screws onto the diesel tank to hold the fuel sender in place will not fit, it looks identical to the old one but the threads look slightly different and it wiil not locate and screw onto the tank threads.
I bought the lock ring off ebay as my local dealer to me are still not open for business due to covid. Is there anyone on here able to give me the right part number for this plastic lockring so i can go and search for one my DS4 is a 2013 1.6 hdi, sorry for such a long post but i'm pretty desperate as my wife is a NHS worker and im a key worker and need ore cars for getting back and fore work.

The outside and inside diameters the same, the pitch of the threads are the same but the depth of the thread is 1mm higher so it makes the diameter of the threads 2mm smaller and this seems to be the only difference in them

Yeah looks like I'll have to wait till the Citroen main dealers are back up and running again.
