Angry Crossback Exhaust

I currently own a DS4 Crossback. Previously i had a Citroen DS4 which i had for 4 years. I bought the car secondhand from a main dealer at the end of January. On Saturday while driving home from shopping the silencer suddenly just fell off, no warning and there had been no noise. Bottom line is the dealer is not interested and the part is only available through a main dealer as the car is still too new. Anyone had any exhaust problems?

Last time this happened to me was on a Citroen BX19 which was a rebuilt write off that I had had for over 100,000 miles since rebuild. Wouldn't expect it on a relatively new car of any make! Back to the main stealer I think - I bet exhausts for this will also be available through most of the exhaust specialists as well!

Citroens since 1969
Currently DS4 2.0hdi 180bhp EAT6

No problems but just a normal DS4.

How old is the car?

Which part broke?

Are the hangers ok?
Was there rust around the breaking point?

Exhaust are a bit of a grey area as they can be seen as wear and tear since they need replaced over time.
