Hi,

So.. I had algae on the front door sides, on the outside of the window just under the rubber trim. I took these off and gave them a clean (with dettol to kill the algae). But now A) windows v. squeaky when it goes up/down & B) putting the window down then up doesnt clear rain drops from the outside of windows, making it hard to see out of.

I've tried looking online, but not sure I'm searching the right phrases. I'm looking for replacement window trims with the rubber seal? (Mainly for driver side but passenger side would be nice too)

Picture done badly to show what I need.

You could try remove the seals as they are and give them a clear with detergent.

Thanks for the response, I have given them a clean out. I'll try again, but then I think it's down to trying to find the parts. I thought because its detachable it'd be easy to find a replacement but apparently not, though I may be searching the wrong names for it.

I've noticed mine has a little too, it looks like water can sit in the bit below the edge.

Must be a common theme, I have the same down the inside of my Windows, thinking about stripping the door card off fully, as show season is beginning and can't be doing with any point deductions!

When I first noticed the algae along the fornt window trim I though it would be difficult to clean but honestly cleaning the algae is easy guys, I simply lowered the windows to reduce the seals pressure against the glass then took a thin blade (or any thing similar will do) wrapped it with a damp cloth and ran it gently along the length of the seal. This might take a couple of passes but it does the job, stay safe
