DS4 15K miles needing new flywheel and clutch

Hi Guys. My daughter has a 3 year old DS4 which started to shudder when idling so dropped it in for a service and check up. Still one month of warranty left. She has been told the clutch needs changed and the flywheel is faulty because she has burnt out the clutch? She has been quoted 1400 then dropped it to 100 then dropped again to 1000. This is a Citreon Main Dealer too. It has only done 15k miles and 90% of those miles consist of 45 miles down the motorway and 45 miles back for her daily commute. There has also been a problem of the auto release hand brake feeling like it has not released properly at times, could this have contributed? The mechanic in the garage has said he is surprised that this has happened with such low millage. It has a full citreon service history. Any info or suggestions as to what i can go back to them with as they are not covering it under warranty. Thanks in advance guys.

Clutch is a tricky one as it can be seen as wear and tear. They can easily agrue that it was how it was driven, and there's nothing you can do to prove otherwise.

What engine?

How long has she had it? 90 miles a day is over 20k miles a year
