Rear Right wheel jammed

Afternoon folks hope all had a good Chrimbo ....My issue is that since i last drove my 2015 DS4 6 days ago the right rear brake appears to be locked and releasing the electronic hand brake doesnt seem to be doing any thing is there away of realising it manually ...Also when i turned the key into the on position the display said that car was going into ecomony mode .....Anyone any suggestions as i need to use the car ...

Assuming the handbrake is releasing, it'll be a bit seized with the weather and not moving.
Try rock if back and forth, and if that doesn't work, give the caliper a gentle knock with a hammer.


I've replaced both rear calipers due to sticking on, only about 80 a caliper. You'll probably find they will be a bit sticky now even if you do free it off.

Thanks for the reply ..I have tried driving forward and in reverse with no success will need to get under it tomorrow when its daylight to see if the handbrake is releasing ....

I wouldn't worry about the economy mode message, it's just because the car has been standing. Just start as normal and after you are able to drive for a while the battery will get charged enough to cancel that message. Just means the system has turned off certain things because the battery is a bit low.
Although a 5 year old battery could require changing so you'll have to see after you have sorted the binding brake.
