Have you tried Chris Knott. I'm with them at the moment (but did leave for a previous year). My renewal isn't until October so I'll have to wait and see.
Mines keyless but it didn't affect my renewal, perhaps I was just lucky or because it's kept in a locked garage overnight.

Perhaps so. It was just a guess. Mines kept in a secure driveway but they never have a section for that.

No Neil, it's not keyless..

Spoke with current insurers.. wouldn't budge.

I have used CK before, ( 2 years ago with previous C4) and while it was cheaper, it was only because it wasn't truly a like for like quote.

Restrictions on use, ( no commuting / business use) must park in garage, higher excess etc..
When these factors were added.. their quote became similar to everyone else, when renewal reminder came, it too went up.
Shopped around for previous car and ended up with DL.. who were miles cheaper than CK renewal quote.
So changed to Direct Line, which had all I wanted and came out cheaper. ( Currently with them).
Have to say, CK are a broker, and at the time they place my car with an insurer I had never heard of.

I have tried half dozen others, some on comparison sites 2 not.. and DL still come out cheapest.. even though its 25% more on renewal !
I now come to the conclusion , its the area / claims within it.

We should be moving house to a more rural location within the next 12 months.. so hopefully it WILL get cheaper !

Early retirement and 'evergreen pastures'.. beckons.. LOL

Direct line are cheaper for standard cars and the average use. If you go with a car seriously modified in any way (not just different wheels or furry dice) then the wont touch it.

Amazes me, that every single insurer now asks if anything has been modified, ( including wheels) then may increase premium or not even insure, just as Vexorg said.

On that note, I will soon be posting for sale a set of alloys, I had intended to use on the DS4.. but now I can't be bothered.
As our newer DS4 has TPMS, I did toy with the idea of having the current set of sensors cloned, and putting new rubbers on them.

I had 7.5 x 17" Citroen Pheonix alloys on the previous C4 exclusive.
I will be advertising a set of 4 of these in mint condition, having been refurbed.
They all have tyres, but only to protect the rims..so they'd need replacing.

Also, they have no TPM fitted, as the earlier C4 exclusive didn't have TPMS fitted.. so just normal valve required.
To be honest, they are probably my favourite wheels from Citroen on any of the 'C4' range..

These are a ridiculous price new.. and I will offer the set for less than the cost of one !
I think they'd look good on the DS4 , and won't have the diamond cut issues that is widely mentioned.

I will post in the sales section, when I take photos of the actual wheels, later this week.

Meanwhile, if anyone's interested, PM me.. but buyer to collect ( based approx 5 miles off jct 4 M42)

Funny I went to Direct Line but only for a year and then back to Chris Knott. Retirement has already beckoned and I accepted.
