Yeah that microswitch seems to be an issue on the DS4's. Advice I've heard is to only press the switch, then open the door somewhere else. Don't lift the door using the switch handle.

Zingiber Or according to this blog post you can use a switch from a Chevrolet, though the end result looks a bit how you doin' for my liking.

Be prepared for a shock, the microswitch only comes as part of the rear trim that sits above the number plate. Costs about 130 + vat for the unpainted one.
And that switch is uniqe to the DS4, you can but one for the C4 (and other peugeots) extremely cheaply, but it's different.

Mine was the same, the microswitch behaved funny when it was on the way out. Random boot opening or not opening. Having to quickly shut the boot and start the car to keep it shut as the boot wont open with the car running.

DeuxChevaux I have no idea but - I would look on the C4 Owners forum. The C4 is eactly the same as far as wiring is concerned. They have a list of independant Citroen garages, try and find one near you and give them a ring, they will have seen this issue before and will be able to give an educated guess. During the 150k miles I had my C4 this happened twice, I repaired it myself once but the next time there were 5 wires broken and all grey so I left it to Braggs of Briston (peugeot Citroen Specialist) who did an excellent job and at a very reasonable price as I remember (307's and 308's have the same problem)

Donnaq I actually never tried the wipers, how much should I expect to pay a mechanic to fix this?
