Our Ds4 1.6 hdi will be 12 months old in September and done just under 8K miles. Service indicator has started coming on suggesting a service is due in 1600 miles? I'm confused? I thought service intervals were 12K or 2 years. Service book in the car suggests 10K or 12 months. What are people's experiences on this specific engine.

I was told the early diesels were 2 year or 20000 miles but they changed it toannual because the dpf was getting blocked . I've got a service contract and that's every year .

I've got a 3 year service contract at my local dealership and it's 12500 or annual (although, when I bought the car, the salesman told me it was 20000 ). I also asked about brake fluid change as the schedule shows at 20000, but the service department said the next service at 25000 will be ok.
...and on a different note, I've just had new front tyres at nearly 20000 miles - quite pleased with that.

All DS4's registered from July 2012 on are now serviced every 12 months. Difference is 12500 miles for 1.6 and 20000 for 2.0 engines

The "service" indicator, or the spanner icon? - "service" came up on my screen, I took it for in one, to find it didn't need one, and instead, it had faults. :/

Older cars pre 2012 were 2 year interval, but now all are 12months with differing mileage.

The service indicator is only a guide, as last service mine was not reset so I got warnings again. Go with your gut, 12 months oil change good for any car, 2 years you takes your chance.
