I saw a few sites that sell satnav that will fit the ds4 (photo showing a LHD so I enquired about RHD cars too). Alibaba.com is a chinese site where you can pay with paypal so there should be some security there when buying from outside the UK. I was wondering if someone had experience with either that site or these aftermarket dvd/satnav/tv/radio kits. Seem to be able to have these for just over £200 with import taxI consider 2 options, buying a satnav tomtom,garmin...or retro-fit the car with an aftermarket one but don't know much about the functionalities of the satnav.
I read on a french forum a retro fit with citroen parts, satnav, speed dials...well over the original price of the option.
Any thoughts? thx

I wouldn't attempt a retrofit the satnav does a lot more than the nav, it displays the radio and other things, either get one with the nav fitted or have a wire off a Tom Tom going across the dash

I'm with deresim on this way too dodgy to go for that . Get a good TomTom as the DS4 satnav isn't just satnav!

I would say his car is Left hand drive, given the location

Prior to us upgrading to a new 2016 DS4, I used a Garmin SatNav in our DSport
Probably better than the 'Citroen' one...but of course it needs plugging in when you need to

Thanks for replying,I look up to iceboxauto web site but they only do LHD, Nothing for RHD!!!
Did you have to altered anything to fit yours like frame etc.... how did you managed to install it??
LHD and RHD, the side trims are opposite. Surely you've done something, because this is NOT a straight fit.
Please Reply,
Thanks,

the trim around the screen needs a bit of fetteling then if you look at the picture i bought some rubber edgeing to cover the slight gaps left down the sides

Hi BigTNan, thank you very much for the info. Your GPS Radio looks so professionally fitted... well done!!I wood like to ask you one more question;
Can you remove the frame out of the screen? I mean, is the frame detachable?
Thank You,

Yes the trim is detachable, the screen is held in place with 2 screws and the trim clicks into place around it, when you take the display out you need to take the 4 white clips off the back of it and put them on the back of the screen trim in the same locations then the trim just clicks into place.

The first head unit that you listed is the same unit as mine, The second is also the same but it has a more up to date opporating system, Android 6.0 as apposed to Android 5.1. Hope this helps.

BigTMan, I'm also looking at getting one of those sat nav units.

I'm just curious whether or not you are still able to change vehicle settings with the new head unit?

Yes you can still change the vehicle setings, but i have found that the factory settings are set to KPH so when you install the unit your speedo, trip meter etc change to KPH but the factory are supposed to be working on an update to sort this.
