Evening all.

This may seem as if I am being overly daft but I was wondering if my my car was playing up.

I noticed today that if I take my foot off the brake pedal and put it straight back on the brake pedal (without touching the accelerator) the brake pedal would not push in. It felt rock hard? Is this just the hill assistance doing its job? Noticed that it was sometimes doing it on a flat as well (as I kept trying to replicate it)

Just strange I haven't noticed this before, but could be because I have never put my foot straight back on the brake pedal. Not sure why I did today.

Sorry if this is a pointless thread.

Cheers as always Edited by: Saeagle

ha-ha sounds fine to me
but it should not do it on the flat that said it don't take much of a hill for it to work.

Seems alright to be honest. It's just pressure pumped into the brakes.

The more you pump it, the more pressure you generate, the harder the pedal.

Was there anyway to write that sentence without it sounding dodgy?

Anyway, try pumping the brake next time you jump in the car, you will see that it starts to resist more.

Cheers both.
I guess it was just the hill start doing its job and me being daft (It was a Sunday afterall, so I am allowed one day).
