Hi,Just noticed on my DS4 at the very front of the bonnet around the inverted V above the badge the paint seems to be bubbling?! It is one year old!
Has anyone else had this? I think this maybe a problem on the C4 and I think the DS 4 has the C4 bonnet (the only panel that is the same..I think).
Will be taking it to dealer next week but wondering if anyone else has had same issue?

Thanks Stu

Hi All,
Just an update on my bonnet paint bubbling.
Went to dealer and they took photo's to send to citroen. Day after dealer rang saying citroen hadagreed to replace whole bonnet
.

This link shows a C4 with same problem in exactly same place as on my DS 4. http://c4owners.org/plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?161691

Photo on about the fifth post.

Maybe worth a check for early signs? Apparently a problem with preparation prior to painting, it's not rust more of a reaction with aluminium bonnet.

Thanks

Today I noticed some bubbling in the paintwork underneath the front of the bonnet and is lifting the paint. Its creeping closer to the front edge and it feels rough in places. This will deteriorate through time.Phoned Citroen UK who have advised me to contact my nearest dealer for pics to be taken and a decision to be made if it is under warranty.
I e-mailed pics to the dealer and hope to hear from them soon.
I am not a happy bunny. 62 plate owned for 9 weeks and only 13500 miles on the clock.
I will wait and see what happens and keep you informed.

I picked up my car last week after Citroen agreed to replace the bonnet and this was carried out via my nearest dealer, Telfords of Carlisle. The job was to take between 3 to 4 days.
Telfords service has been superb throughout and Citroen uk have been very quick in agreeing to sort the problem of a known issue.
I am very impressed with Citroen uk and Telfords customer service.
Just need to wait a wee while to wax the car and get it gleaming again.

only due to the reading of this thread did I have a good look at my bonnet.

And sure enough bubbles.
Car is march 2012 with 85,000 miles (few bad stone chips on bonnet).

Citroen have today agreed to supply and paint a new bonnet. Result!

Hello alljust taken our 2012 DS4 Sport into local dealer to have bonnet paint bubbles / corrosion photographed all along front seal of bonnet .

Alloys wheels lacquer also coming off they look a mess these wheels have been a nightmare , never again .
The chrome trim around the doors has also tarnished badly can't get a shine on them .
Tried all sorts of specialist cleaners .
The car has been great and just covered 40k with us without fault , shame the quality of product & materials used don't match the DS image or the 22K price tag !!!
Will keep you posted on how we get on .

Just noticed this today on my wife's DS4. It's a 61 plate with only 18k on the clock, owned from 6 months old.

By the sounds of it, it is a known fault. Will take to the dealer and see what they say. Although will also ensure they have the bonnet ready and painted before giving it to them! (although they may need to blend colour to match i guess after 3.5 years).

Bought my DS4 12 months ago from Swansway Chester and when I first saw the car I noticed the same issue with paint bubbling on the front of the bonnet. Queried this and they said it was covered by Citroenspaint warranty and they would sort it. Got a new bonnet/paint job (although had to send it back to get the colour right, pearlescent white) but they did a good job in the endso happy with the service.

Had my DS4 DSPORT bonnet replaced and sprayed 18mths ago and recently noticed the paintwork getting duller, took it back to dealer who sent it to the paintshop.
The plan was to wet flat and repolish but i had my doubts as it looked like the laquer had sunk into the metallic flakes.
Dealer contacted me today and said that another respray is required.
Not too happy, but that's life and i do love my DS4.......
