Hey all the switch has gone bang, bought a new trim on eBay thinking it had the switch attached it didn’t. Managed to short out the wire to the switch and it opens/ releases the boot lock.
If anyone is breaking a ds4 or has a spare one I’m your guy

The genuine trim should have the switch, I chased this when mine went and nowhere sells the switch on it's own, you have to buy the trim at £130+vat then get it painted to match.

I used the microswitch part from the C4 boot switch, very similar switch, just a bit narrower, so doesn't directly fit.

I've had to do this twice on C4's which are very similar but found microswitches on CPC Farnell web sites fo very little cost - I don't like spending £200+ either to get a working boot switch
