I got myDs4 Dstyle yesterday and its my first car with a electric handbrake. Whats the best way to keep the handbrake on while waiting at roundabout at biting point .WhatI find is if I get the car preped with gas and the clutch at bite so that im ready to go in a gap , it releases the handbrake.



Hope you guys can advise.

Hi there, welcome. Dont know if this is what you want to hear but the electric handbrake isn't really designed to work that way. Its either set or its not. As soon as u roll forward it turns off. (As you know) If your waiting for a while, push the button and set it, but waiting for a short time at a roundabout for example the anti rollback device stops you from rolling back for about 2 secs. Long enough to get in a gear or get the handbrake on. Hope this helps and the anti rollback device does take a bit on getting used to.
