Does any know if you can deactivate the electronic handbrake just for winter as had cars in the past where the handbrake gets stuck on when it's really cold.

You can do it as I do it every time I put the car away wet in this weather, I now do it without thinking.

Try this, switch off the engine, handbrake goes on automatically


turn on the ignition, press the footbrake, while holding the footbrake on flick the handbrake leaver this puts it off, turn off the ignition, it will bing at you saying put the handbrake on, switch off the car and get out.


If this does not work let me know and I will go and do it slowly and think about what I am doing

Hi just tried that and works perfect just need to remember to leave it in gear and put blocks on as I have sloped drive.
Books shows option to deactivate it but aint one.
