Gear change

I recently bought an 8 months old 2 litre DS4 with 3,800 miles on the clock from a Citroen dealer as an ex demonstrator, nice car! Problem is it has a noisy gear change from first to second and second to third. Rest of the gear changes are OK. I think the noise is the operation of the linkage not the gear box but if I accelerate fast and change gear fast it seems to crunch. The Citroen dealer has checked it and says that there is nothing wrong it is like all other DS4's. He also pointed out the car has a long warranty. I intend to take further independent advise but I wondered if any other owners had experienced similar problems.

I have taken my car to a gearbox specialist since my first post. They said they were aware of problems with this model of gearbox, they suspected caused by the use of inferior aluminium components used in manufacture. They considered my problem was not severe enough to warrant immediate action but they predicted the need for replacement synchromesh between 40K and 60K miles!
If I drive leisurelyaround town and change gear in a slow deliberate way there is less noise from
changing gear but out of town on de-restricted roads with junctions/roundabouts with fast gear changes to keep up with traffic speed there is a definite crunch between first and second gear.

I have written to Citroen about the problem they have issued a case number but pointed out their dealers are their technical eyes and ears and that I should take the car back to the dealer. I have arranged for the car to be taken into the dealers "for a few days trial" at its first service at the end of March.

I consider the gear change spoils the car andI do regret purchasing this particular car. Any purchase of another DS4 would be subject to a rigorous gear change test!
