Just had my ds4 delivered but it has a few problems,

The mic on the bluetooth has such bad reception prople cant hear me talk properly, I tried 3 different phones.

The bluetooth sometimes locks up when making calls, this stops the volume on the dab radio working until I restart the car.

Finally the tailgate only shuts when it wants to, after shutting it seems to lock itself randomly and wont unlock from the fob unitil I have left it for a few minutes

has anybody else experienced any of the above?

None of the above, however neither the lumbar or massage function work on the drivers seat of the wife's car. The green light comes on then goes straight off after a second.

I got my DS4 DStyle a week and a half ago and I have exactly the same issue with the microphone for the bluetooth. I can hear the other person clearly through the speakers, but they either can't hear me or it sounds very distorted. I've also tried it with two different phones (both Nokia).

I need to contact the dealer to get them to take a look. I also need to ask them for a new owner''s manual as mine is missing a load of pages (the ones about important stuff such as changing bulbs and fuses). I sent a message to Citroen through their website over a week ago but I've not had any acknowledgment or reply.

Collected my DS4 D-Style Monday 29-Apr-13 at 17.00 - everything great so far - except the shocking hands-free Bluetooth mic - I can hear everything clearly in-car, but everyone who contacts me in-car complains that I sound as if I am gargling - with extra background noise too - makes my replies pointless. Tried multiple phones to phone in (mobiles and landlines) and out (mobiles only) - tried placing the in-car mobiles in different parts of the car - makes no difference. Dealer contacted today, and he reckons faulty mic - investigation start of June due to personal commitments.

Looks like a trend with the microphone!!

Just took car to dealer, they adjusted tailgate lock and siliconed all the boot rubbers. He said it should be fixed now. Time will tell!

I have booked it in for next Wed for bluetooth mic fault. I am wondering if it only affects models with Dab radio.

I have had my Ds4 sport now for 12 months and the mic for the phone has been an issue since day 1.I have tried a Blackberry and now a Samsung Galaxy with the same end result.
I mentioned it to the dealer and all they seem to be able to do is check if it is working and it is but anytime i am driving and someone calls me I have to pull over, stop and switch the engine off so people can hear me talking....maybe it is a built in safety feature..although I dont think so.

Additionally when I connect my Ipod via the usb port or any other ipod sometimes it works and sometimes it does not...when it does not work I get a message saying ipod connection failure.

I have also reported this to the dealer and again they cannot help...maybe I should be taking it to a car audio specialist...

Ive had the bluetooth problem as well but its not a permanent issue. What bothers me the most is thesqueaking of my chair. Im not sure if its the actual chair or the bottom part of where the seat belt connects with the car , but its driving me nuts. Going to check it out tomorrow.

Took 30mins for mechanic Mike to (fingers crossed) sort the terrible Bluetooth transmission from the car - bearing in mind brand new car from factory, just collected 29th April - there was a fault with the DAB Radio - not configured correctly - blimey - required a "download from Citroen" to sort - we tested all available mobiles from the garage in the DS4 and 2 of my own - all combinations of calls in & out, radio on and off, car driving and stationary : and reception at both ends of the call were clear ............ hopefully : watch this space

Hi,

Mine is booked in tomorrow for the same thing .

Hopefully they will sort it! I will tell them it probably needs a download to configure the dab radio.
Thanks

ref Citroen website.....I had reason to contact them before and it took over 4 weeks to get a response and even then it was a nonesense response.

Seems that a lot of folks have experienced or continue to experience bluetooth mic issues....maybe Citroen should acknowledge that there is an issue and pull their fingers out and fix it....

It is things like this which will put off people from buying another DS4....I am already contemplating the Merc a class...

I didn't get any email reply from Citroen regarding my incomplete owner's manual. However, on Saturday morning I did receive a new copy of the manual in the post from Citroen Customer Services.

Now I just need to call the dealer armed with the knowledge above and get them to look at the mic problem.

I've just spoken to my dealer and they're already waiting for a call back from Citroen technical regarding the update as I'm the second new DS4 owner they've had with the issue.

As I have discussed in other threads, Citroen are aware of major problems with electronics and software for CD, Nav, Traffic alerts, Bluetooth, USB and warnings they are just in denial and trying to either cuff them or do as little as possible about it.

Any success today with your Bluetooth transmissions from your car?
Disappointment here this morning, when transmissions from repaired Bluetooth phone out from car were again distorted - not as bad as when car was first purchased, but for a brand new vehicle - shocking performance
I have booked car in again for June 9th for further investigations.
I have been using hands-free in multiple vehicles for years - both factory fitted and after-market kits (different types) and I have NEVER experienced any of the gargling transmissions that I am currently experiencing with this setup - everything else has had normal performance.
Come on Citroen - get your digit out and fix this

Add in egs to the list of software problems. I think I've been back to Citroen more times than all my previous dealers put together (and that's quite a few)Very unimpressed with CitroenSaw Citroen on the BBC consumer show last night, some guy with Picasso had problems with a gear selector. Seems like I'm not the only one.
