Hi Folks,

Just a quick introductory post to say hi!<div ="grammarly-disable-indicator">

I really love the DS4 and am going up to see a few tomorrow; 1.6 HDI and a 2.0 HDI. My budget tops out at about £6,500 and am taking a very car-savvy friend with me. I'm sure there's a buying guide on here somewhere, but if someone could point me to it, I'd be ever so grateful.

In your experience, is there anything to specifically look out for with regards to buying one second-hand?

Thank you

Sarah

Welcome Sarah

There's the obvious ones like a full history, the 1.6HDi in particular needs servicing on the dot, every 12 months or 12,500 miles (2.0HDi is 12 months or 20k), check the bodywork for da,age and also make sure the tyres are evenly worn and I'm good condition. Like the C4, the DS4 suffers with a design fault that leads to rust on the inside of the bonnet - you can check easily by lifting the bonnet and under the front of the leading edge there is a crease - you will be able to see any rust, these are replaced under warranty if caug within 3 years.

Otherwise there is nothing especially notable, enjoy the car - we do!
