Man thats expensive!!!!

I suppose thats a main dealer. Have you tried an independent Citroen specialist?
These days its not supposed to affect the warranty by not going to a main dealer.

Chud - depends on service you want. DS4 has 24month and 48 month service schedule.

Hartwells in Hull quote £266 for 24 month and £347 for 48 month.

You could try Servicestop (online) they quote a correct warranteed service for a DS4 as £130 interim and £199 full, and will do them nationwide.

Cheers for the repliesIt's the 2 year service,£199 sounds about right to me

My wife works at a garage so they will get the work now
I just thought it would be nice to have main dealer service stamps but not at that price

No where near you RevBroach Hill at Hutton Cranswick,E.Yorks
I am very happy with the service I received from them in the past
it's just a pity they want silly money for a routine service.

Chud I've used Broach hill before for several Citroens, until they get greedy (tried to get out of 3rd year of wanrantee - just when they changed from 1 to 3, because I was 24miles over on second service on a c4 Picasso).

RevG - The dealer price seems reasonablly in line with the quotes I saw. More interesting is the software updates - this is what I've been battling for 4 months for, obviously not at a service.

Thanks SBK I'll enquire about that when I take mine in. Was Evans Halshaw OK as when they used to be Reg Vardy they never gave good customer service.

I haven't had any problems with Evans Halshaw and I've used them a few times . They do try a bit of upselling but who doesn't these days . That was the big surprise with the service contract that I've got because they didn't .Julie on the service desk is very helpful and knows what she's on about .

The sales side of things is very different , they really push things you don't need ,took my stepson down there on Monday and they tried to charge £95 for the HPI check and the valeting , needless to say I told them we wouldn't pay that and they said they wouldn't sell a used car without it,so we let them keep the car and walked away .

I've also used Simon Dean on Fenton trade park , he's a Citroen specialist . Very good but not really any cheaper .

Thanks SBK I'll go to Evans Halshaw this time. There used to be a Citroen dealer in Rode Heath, Kevin Odlum, but I think he's now independent, but theyve always given good value in the past. Not sure how near that is to you though
