Has anyone else used the SOS button.
Needing to call 999 about a dangerous shed load on a dual carriageway, I thought I would try the SOS button. I could hear it dialling, then a voice asked in French if I had had an accident.
I thought, in the UK the system would connect to our emergency service.

If I read your post right............Its only to be used in the event of you having an emergency/accident and will direct the emergency services to you by GPS locationIts not to report something out on the road
Isnt 999 on your phone for that?

You are probably right, but at 70mph on a dual carriageway, it was difficult to read the manual.
Anyway, the point is, it doesn't make much sense for the call to be directed to France, when I was in the Midlands.

Its so they can inform the Breakdown services and get to you in the event of an accident
