Hi,
When I collected my DS4 4 weeks ago I noticed the wheel alignment and a wobble from the steering wheel when travelling at 70mph+ The wobble doesn't happen on all roads and seems to be worse when accelerating but doesn't stop when I take my foot off the gas.

I took it back to the dealer where I bought it who checked it out and said it was mechanically sound, realigned the wheels and balanced them but the problem is still there.

Ive complained to the dealership again but they say that theres nothing they can do. Im tempted to take it to another dealer or specialist citroen garage to get it diagnosed but was wondering if anyone else had this happen to them or can suggest anything else that might be causing the issue.

Any help is appreciated because its really doing my head in

TrevA,
I had the same issue. I contacted dealer along similar lines to you, the said all was well mechanically. I have since put new tyres on car at a tyre fitters rather than the dealer and the problem remains even though I've been back to them too. Mine happens on a particular piece of road, though, so could be the road surface.

Does this happen on a particular bit of road? If so, have you tried driving that piece in another car?

Hi GIJ,
Its puzzling honestly!

No, seems to happen infrequently and more so when the car is cold butone morning it happens and one morning it wont. Its really weird. I had a DS3 before this and it never did this.

I thought it might be the wheel bearings
I thought it might be a prop shaft in balance
Thought it might be a throttle misfire - but its still there accelerating and when I take my foot off
The tyres are the same tread and manufacturer

Is it something to do with the power steering
Have they done a botch job on it previously

The alignment and balancing should have been done when it went back for the steering wheel.

Ive had it less than 30 days and its done less than a 1000 miles and Ive told the salesman who ive bought 4 cars off that if its not fixed and resolved its going back. I totally love the car but I cant put up with that like.

You go to a dealer because they are the 'experts' but sometimes its better taking it to fred in a shed
